Riya Rastogi

Hi, I’m Riya! I am currently a junior in bioengineering (UW Class of 2027). Previously, I have been a Breast Cancer Hub Youth Ambassador, promoting awareness about breast cancer and its treatments and methods of diagnosis. I have also been a mentor for Biomedical Engineering Society since 2024. Currently, I am an undergraduate researcher at the Lutz Lab, a bioengineering lab at the University of Washington that focuses on point-of-care diagnostics, specifically for HIV and tuberculosis. I have worked on several projects at Lutz Lab concerning DNA amplification and target sequence analysis. In my free time, I enjoy reading, taking walks, and trying out new restaurants.
