Hi my name is Jake, and I am a Junior studying Bioengineering. Some of my current activities in school include volunteering and medical research. In the past, I have done research for Bioengineers Without Borders working on the Hydrosonix team, working to engineer a novel, low-cost hydration monitoring device. Currently, I am doing research in Dr. Fu’s lab in South Lake Union working on drug development for the treatment of Sepsis. I also volunteer in the Emergency Department at the University of Washington Montlake Hospital and for the Red Cross as a Blood Donor Ambassador. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, playing pickleball, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends (and my friend’s dog Frank).
