Joey Liang

Joey is a bioengineering junior from Bellevue, Washington. He is currently a part of the Pun Lab, where he is working on DNA aptamers for SARS-CoV-2 detection. Joey has also held research positions at Fred Hutch and at UW Biochemistry, where he researched the effects of maternal antibody acquisition on metabolic dysregulation, ulcerative colitis, and diabetes. He plans to pursue medical school after graduation and hopes to specialize in oncology. In his free time, Joey likes to cook, longboard, ski, and spend time with his dog.
