Their research leads to discoveries, treatments and tools that drive biomedical invention forward, fuel our economy and transform lives.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Design Projects<\/h3>\n<p>UW BioE design projects allow students to apply engineering design to address unmet needs in health care and biotechnology. Industry and clinical partners are welcome to contribute ideas for projects and\/or mentor students.<\/p>\n<h4>Team Design:<\/h4>\n<p>Device and\/or hardware-focused projects carried out by senior undergraduate and <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/bioe\/academic-programs\/graduate\/master-applied-bioengineering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Master of Applied Bioengineering<\/a> students. Projects last 2-3 quarters, and are advised by UW faculty, industry and\/or clinicians.<\/p>\n<h4>Individual Research + Design:<\/h4>\n<p>Year-long projects conducted in BioE faculty labs by senior undergraduates.
