BioEngage is a hub that can connect you with the Seattle biotech scene.
We welcome visits from industry, and can plan an agenda to suit your needs
UW Bioengineering’s undergraduate and graduate programs rank among the best biomedical engineering programs in the nation by US News and World Report. Our academic programs empower students to transform their skills to extraordinary abilities in research and leadership.
Bioengineering undergraduate and Master of Applied Bioengineering students are required to complete an individual research/design or team design project. Projects integrate laboratory research, clinical needs assessment and the engineering design process.
We welcome industry partners to contribute student design projects and engage in mentorship.
UW Bioengineering is a leader in commercialization and research translation at the University of Washington. Each year, we report more inventions than any other UW department. Many BioE faculty have expertise in commercialization and understand the needs of industry.
Collaborate on research grants
UW is consistently the top recipient of federal funding among public universities. Our faculty are strong partners for joint research grants.
All UW faculty have one day per week to engage in consulting activities. This is an underutilized resource for industry, and we welcome you to take advantage of UW BioE faculty expertise to move your research forward.
To find out more about how you can collaborate on research please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
UW faculty affiliated with the Department of Bioengineering run several core facilities that offer research services or pay-per-use instrument facilities that are accessible to industry.
We organize themed technical symposia, industry panels, company visits and other opportunities for the BioE community and industry partners to share their latest technologies, tools and discoveries.
